Volunteer

Thank you so much for volunteering! We could not do People’s Pride without you :) Please read through these notes before signing up for a volunteer shift.
COVID-19 MASKING POLICY: To care for our community and make People’s Pride accessible for all members of our community, it will be a masked event. All volunteers will be required to wear a mask during their volunteer shift.
Mask enforcement squad: We will also be looking for volunteers who are willing to be part of a mask enforcement squad and feel comfortable reminding people to mask up in the event area. This will not be its own volunteer task, but will be an added responsibility on top of an existing volunteer role. If you are comfortable being part of the mask enforcement squad, please comment "Mask Enforcement Squad" in the Comment column of the volunteer slot you sign up for.
ACCESSIBILITY: We want to make volunteering at People’s Pride accessible for all! Once you sign up for a shift, I will be reaching out to ask if you have any accessibility questions or needs. A quick preliminary note: Powderhorn park is hilly, so many of the walking tasks will require walking up and down hills. If you have any questions about the specifics of a volunteer role or would like to volunteer but are not seeing anything that would work comfortably for you, please reach out to our volunteer coordinator (Elise) at elise.c.swenson@gmail.com and she will be happy to answer any questions or work with you to find a role.
PRE-PEOPLES PRIDE VOLUNTEER GET TOGETHER/ SEQUEERITY TRAINING: We will be hosting a pre-event de-escalation training with Sequeerity for our volunteers. We also want to use this time as a chance to get to know one another, print volunteer t-shirts, and answer any volunteer-related questions before People's Pride. This event will take place sometime the week before People's Pride. Attendance is not mandatory but we would like all volunteers that are able to attend to do so! Elise will be sending out more info once details are finalized :)
Volunteer shifts are split into one hour time slots so that all of our volunteers have time to both volunteer and hang out and enjoy People’s Pride. Volunteers are not limited to volunteering for only one hour – if you want to sign up for more than one volunteer shift, please do!
Artists & Vendors
There will be a 50 vendor cap, this may change due to funds. Of the 50 vendors, there also is a 20 vendor cap for non-BIPOC artists.
We will be prioritizing a variety of makers, no more than 5 of any type of artist. For example we will not host more than 5 ceramicists.
Priority will also be given to queer artists. We do not intend for any non-queer vendors but would be willing to make exceptions. All are welcome to apply.
Set up is at 11am-12pm, June 29 at Powderhorn Park and take down is 4pm-5pm.
Please note that all participants will have to provide their own table/chairs/etc. However, this is not a barrier. If accepted as a vendor we will be in contact to provide you these items as best we can.

Powderhorn Park has asked for a $60 fee and contact information for each of our vendors.
Fundraising has allowed us to make this fee $20-50 sliding scale for the selected 50 vendors. If you cannot give at least a $20 tabling fee by the end of the event let us know below and we will try our best to accommodate, we do not want money to be a barrier!
The park board has asked us to refrain from sexually explicit content. If this applies to you, please reach out to us and we can find a way for you to still be a part of Pride, your participation matters to us!
Tablers
If you would like to table, meaning anything other than selling items, please fill out the vendor form below. A fee will not apply to you, nor will you count toward the 50 cap. You will however still be expected to bring your own table/chairs/ blanket/ tent.
Tabling is different from being a vendor in that you can only distribute goods for free.
There will be 20 table cap on tables that are informational / free goods
